Windward Light is an art feature representing a mother bird, with an eighty-foot canopy, protecting all who gather below. The design references wind, sun, foothills, and the prairie’s, honoring the elements that make Calgary and the surrounding rural communities majestic and magical.
Look closely and you’ll see the lights dancing as the Alberta wind blows and shifts, offering viewers a spectrum of vibrant colors taken from Alberta’s brilliant landscape.
